Taneda’s Coolsingel Cube
De Japanse artdirector Taneda Yohei, vermaard om zijn bijdragen aan het werk van de nieuwe generatie Aziatische filmmakers en de decors van Tarantino’s Kill Bill-films, transformeert de façade, het interieur én de kelder van de Monisma Kubus aan de Coolsingel/Kruiskade tot een filmset.
Taneda’s Coolsingel Cube is het hele festival gratis te bewonderen. Binnen, uitgevoerd door ondergetekende, worden fragmenten getoond uit films waaraan Taneda zijn medewerking verleende: Air Doll bijvoorbeeld, die op het IFFR in première gaat. Dit project kwam tot stand in samenwerking met Stichting Sculpture International Rotterdam. De kunstenaar is aanwezig bij de opening van zijn Coolsingel Cube. Ook is hij te gast bij een Big Talk.

Optikinetics artworks pt.1
The pictures below are designs made for the Optikinetic projectors. They are printed onto a dia-like acetate and placed in a special round disc-holder. An electrical motor is spinning the discs at various speeds. The next level is mixing image, distance, speed, size and the lenses. You can compare it to a vinyl dj-set. Often the sweat is running down my face…
It’s a small selection of designs I made the last years. The idea is to make ‘families’of discs. With 4 projectors I can cover walls, floor and ceiling; but often I use more machines. The final effects can be seen in many short films in the light works section.

State X 2009 Out Of Order vs. Co2RO projections
Here it is: the sixth edition of the State-X New Forms Festival.Once again HPC and Paard van Troje have joined forces to bring some of the best and most anticipated acts of the current international underground movements to Den Haag.
As in previous years the program has been compiled along the themes X-plore (what are new developments in the experimental popmusic-scene?), X-plain (what inspired and triggered those developments?) and X-pect (what will possibly happen in the future?).

Wicked night extra-ordinair. We hosted a night in the ultra basement. Positive crowd and wicked genre-free dj-sets.

Langweiligkeit 10 Festival Den Haag
I did some light works at the Langweiligkeit Festival last weekend. My location was a beautiful small windy circustent. Dubstep dj-sets by Untold, Pangea, Youngsta and Grimelock a.o.
