Last night I finished the long awaited chandelier for the Bootleg club.
It’s a cluster of four rectangular volumes.

I am proud to present you the birth of a fresh light-work.
The mirrorlike interior reflects the ultra-bright light more often than I hoped for.
Resulting in a multilayered projection on the pavement. Waauw…
The non-place has transformed itself into really something special.
Still have to adjust the timer, movement-sensor and the light pulse-rate.

New interiordesign for Bootleg dj-café Rotterdam
We made a new design for the Bootleg. David Louf, Out Of Order, and myself projected a fast and abstract wireframe into the innerspace. A stealth shaped ‘sofa’ with 2 intergrated 15″ 750W. loudspeakers and a mase-structure above the bar are giving the 10 years old dj-monumentum a new identity. I am now finishing the 5 light-objects and a opal abstract chandelier. End of this month the photos.
The Gossip
The Gossip is a projection chandelier for the outdoor public space. The project is commissioned by the Gemeente Rotterdam Bureau Binnenstad . This week we are starting to construct the first pieces. This month we are finishing two big projects. First the stealth design biostructure PG2. The PG2 is a design by the TomDavid Architects and we, Koert Verberne, Jasper van der Made and myself, are constructing the office-structure out of 120 plates of Medite mdf. ‘Noorderlicht’ Viaduct der Verbeelding 28.03.2009
In samenwerking met Rotterdam Idee, SBAW en de Deelgemeente Rotterdam Noord wordt er door middel van lichtbeelden van diverse lichtkunstenaars een aftrap gegeven als onderzoek naar een nieuwe podium en expo plek voor Rotterdam Noord.
Het evenement zal gaan plaatsvinden onder het viaduct bij Busstation Noord in het begin van jongerenjaar 2009.
Een aantal groene laserlijnen definieren een virtueel plein waarbij meerdere lichtperformances vorm krijgen.
Het geheel wordt ondersteund met lokatiekunstenaars, theater en muziek. In combinatie met het projecteren van beelden op diverse objecten wordt de plek verbijzonderd en krijgt het plein door het gesamtkunstwerk betekenis. Op de transfer-plek busstation noord verbinden de lasers samen met andere projecties letterlijk de kolommen en kapitelen met figuurlijk de mensen.
Een en ander zal plaatsvinden ism atelierruimte Kunst-Rotterdam Noord waarbij de
programmering aansluiting vindt met de buitenexpositie.
Zingmond (2007)
Zingmond
Zingmond is een brutale mix van theater, film, opera, soundscapes en dance-beats geinspireerd op het boek Flughunden van Marcel Beyer.
In het boek verliest een door de menselijke stem geobsedeerde akoesticus, in zijn zoektocht naar de geheimen van de stem langzaam maar zeker zijn onschuld.
Zingmond is een coproductie van Muzieklab Brabant, Cross mediagroep Polymorf Pervers en Theaterfestival Boulevard ism het Nederlands Vocaal laboratorium.
